Hello, hello party goers!!
It's happening ladies and gentlemen, Mathew and I are very excited to launch the EPP Party Monday, May 1st! The time finally came and we are super excited!
Epp has been taught many times, but our project is not about the seriousness, is all about going at our own pace, enjoy the process, not worrying about making mistakes, have fun and learn without even realizing! It's also all about sharing your process with the amazing internet community to support each other, so there's no room for fear here!
We want to explore traditional shapes and maybe some new you never did. Also, Mathew and I will be showing many techniques in videos that may help you if you are a beginner, or if you have gone some mileage with epp as well. Tips will be added with each block.
Of course, a party is not a party without gifts, so make sure to join, we have super uber awesome prizes from many friends that want to share with you their love of epp.
List of Sponsors!
Thank you sponsors!!
What you need to know to start:
- The EPP Party will run for 24 weeks providing 1 block each other week. We don't want to rush anybody, is all about learning at our own pace, remember?
- Every two weeks, just by participating, you will have the chance to get awesome gifts from our sponsors! How? Simple, you only need to show your WIP block on Instagram using the #EppParty.
Here's a list of general supplies you may want to have handy to start:
- Card Stock 67 Lb. -- they come in packages of 250 sheets and you can find them at any office supply store
- Sewline Glue Pen
- Hand sewing needles (milliners and applique work the best)
- Needle threader (if needed)
- Paper and fabric scissors
- Thread conditioner
- Aurifil sewing thread (50 or 80 weight)
- Fabric, fabric and more fabric!! I'll be working on the entire quilt with my new line Indie Boheme, and Mathew will be showing the blocks with another one of my lines Dare. Hope you can use them too, but by all means you are welcome to use your own favorite fabrics :)
- Cutting mat
- Rotary cutter
So, one... two... three... GO! Stay tuned by coming back to IG and here for our first block on May 1st. Let's have fun!

Pat T.
Yeah! Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteSounds great but no instagram account.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to this!
ReplyDeletePat - I'd love to do the project using Indie Boheme as well! Do we need both the Romantic and Antique? Or will one of the collections do?
ReplyDeleteBoth will be great for color combination. But if you want to create the EPP with one color way, it's fine ☺
DeleteThis sounds like fun! I'm in! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteSounds fun! Almost thought I was all set with the paper but my card stock is 110 lb. Do you think that would work?
ReplyDeleteHi! You can use it but it's going to be a little bit hard to maneuver when the EPP quilt block gets bigger ☺
DeleteKathy - paperpieces.com has a piece pack you can purchase for $17.50 for exactly what we need! You can't beat that!
DeleteI'm so excited to catch this at the beginning! It sounds fun
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty tempted! I'm not very good at keeping up, as I'm easily distracted, but I'll try!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds great, looking forward to it =)
ReplyDeleteI'd love to join in, looking forward to the process!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I love EPP (especially hexagons). Hope I can keep up & learn something new!
ReplyDeleteCool beans as they say in South Africa.
ReplyDeleteSounds great, I'm hoping to be able to sew along. I've only made hexies so far so it'll be good to try some new shapes and blocks.
ReplyDeleteSounds like fun!
ReplyDeleteOh I wished. I have too many ufo's now. Will watch thiugh!
ReplyDeleteDon't know how much I will get done but I'd like to see what it is all about.
ReplyDeleteOh, gosh... this sounds like fun. However, I don't want to cut out the EPP templates from 67# card stock. Tried that--too time consuming, not as accurate as the pre-packaged die-cut paper pieces, and the pieces don't fit well together after basting. Will Paper Pieces have EPP papers available in kits? Thanks.
ReplyDeleteHi! Yes, you can do order in Paper Pieces ☺
DeleteSure sounds like fun.....I will even try hard to keep up!! Cant wait for Moday!!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a printer. Can I use precut templates? If so, which do suggest?
ReplyDeleteIs there an official place to sign up or since I got this email I will get the notice and what is IG that I may get the blocks? Thank you
ReplyDeleteCan´t wait for manday and hope to join the fun!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like so much fun! Thank you for sponsoring and the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteIs this something a first timer can join? I've always wanted to give EPP a go so this seems like as good a time as any😉
ReplyDeleteHi Pamela!! Anyone can join, just make sure to check the blog post for the instructions ☺
DeleteLooking forward to this can't wait ti start
ReplyDeletePicked up my paper yesterday. Can't wait to get started!
ReplyDeleteI have been wanting to learn EPP!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning!! I am going to make my blocks with my stash. Do You know approximately how much fabric will the entire quilt take for blocks and sashing? So i can choose what to use? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love EPP! This looks like fun! I'm in.
