192.168.1.1 IP address is widely used as the address pointing to the network router for Internet Access that you have at home. It is one of a few most commonly used IP addresses that router makers assign to a router, 192.168.l.l is the most usual one though 10.0.0.1 or 192.168.0.1 are also among the well known ones.
