Trendy yet Timeless: my Essentials fabrics are here!

Hello and happy quilting Thursday!

I am thrilled to officially release my new Essentials line for Art Gallery Fabrics! First I want to take the time to thank you for all your amazing comments and all the love you show for me and for my work. It's a great feeling to make fabric collections that bring joy to all your projects. And it makes me truly happy to see you welcome them into your lives. You make my cheeks blush many times with so much love; thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are the best! 

This time I wanted to go over many of your favorite prints and put them together in trendy yet timeless color palettes to offer endless possibilities when combining with my main fabric collections. Modern quilting is very popular nowadays and more two-tone or tonal prints are showing on the market horizon, so I thought you may like to see these kind of prints from me. I asked many of you and your response convinced me I was on the right track. 

This is the first time I produce a group of "blenders" like this, and I was a little afraid that you may not accept them for they are not my usual full lines, but I am so happy that you like them that much!

I've made many projects so you can step into the world of Essentials through this Lookbook. It has direct links to all the sources to buy online; patterns (some of them FREE) and even the fabrics. Essentials is made up of five prints in multiple colors:

My Quilting Heart Box by Aurifil is great to combine with this collection. Great for quilting (of course) and sewing. So start filling your canvases with joyful projects made with Essentials!

Aurifil Block of the Month with Rock 'n Romance

Hello everyone! I just can't believe that it's December and the very last Aurifil Rock 'n Romance quilt block has been sewn.

Here are the last four blocks of the year!

If you missed it, here is the 1st group of blocks and the 2nd group. All 12 blocks are just amazing! Thank you 2013 Auriful Design team for your gifted sewing talents and making wonderful blocks with Rock 'n Romance. I cannot wait to see the finished quilt! Bundle of Joy Giveaway

Hello lovelies!

Today I have a special treat for all of you! I'm going to give you a chance to win a colorful bundle of my fabrics, or what I like to call your very own 'bundle of joy.'

As most of you know, I'm inspired by all the beauty that surrounds me. All those pretty little everyday things are what stimulate me to design. From gorgeous magazine clippings to flowers blooming in my garden, these simple beauties are what have sparked my fabric collections.

Once I'm done designing, I can't wait until the final production comes in and I have all my fabrics in hand to start making all sorts of goodies, from dresses and shirts, to handbags and quilts!

This is the part that amazes me the most. My very own fabrics, that were created from all the beautiful inspiration surrounding me, have now become their own form of inspiration for you to create!

Whenever I see a bundle of fabrics with a fascinating color story, my imagination starts working, thinking of quilts, table runners, clothing... just about anything! I just love the fact that inspiration is in the form of anything and everything. It just brings me great joy!

When it came time to selecting a set of colors that would become part of my new line of threads for Aurifil, I found myself staring at this one bundle that just seemed SO right! The colors were the right mix of deep and rich, with bright and intense. I instantly started to select the colors for the box set that I would later name 'Bold Beauty.'

My sweet dears, this is the bundle that inspired the 'Bold Beauty' box set for Aurifil! Not only do I have a 12 spool set of this gorgeous array of colors, but now I have a new mini spool collection.

 This bundle inspired me to select my thread colors. What does this bundle inspire you to make?

Aurifil Block of the Month with Rock 'n Romance

Hey everyone!

I'm am so honored and excited that my fabric line, Rock 'n Romance, is being used for the 2013 Aurifil Design Team! Twelve lovely designers are creating awesome blocks. Each month there will be a new quilt block by one of the designers. I already shared with you the first four designers in a previous blog post. Now here are designers five through eight!

Each block is unique and they are all so great! There are four designers left. I can't wait until December to see all of the blocks!
