Christmas Coasters

Hello everyone!

The clock is ticking and the holidays are just around the corner, how exciting? Like I promised before, more cute and adorable projects for the holidays are promptly coming your way, like these Christmas Coasters! I had so much fun creating them and let me tell you, they are way to easy and fun to make. And in you have an amazing machine, it's even funner! I created these cuties using my always reliable BERNINA 790, and let me tell you, sewing with this machine is like sewing in the clouds, I love it!

Quick Christmas Tree Ornaments DIY Ideas

Like I promised you lovelies, some quick little Christmas Tree ornaments for the holidays. I realized how perfectly well Heartland Fabrics matches with my Pink Theme Christmas. So I decided to create these adorable tree ornaments that lots of you loved! These are so easy to make and it will take you less than an hour. 

Raw Edge Christmas Tree

For this tree, we are going to place 2 1/2'' by 20'' strips of fabrics as shown below. I used 8 strips of fabrics from Heartland Fabrics in this order:
HRT-85303
HRT-85305
HRT-95300
HRT-95308
HRT-85306
HRT-85304
HRT-95309
HRT-85300

Stitched them with a 1/4'' seam allowance. 
      

Once the stitching is completed, go ahead and cut 2'' vertical strips as show below.

Now we have to stitch the pieces together with a 1/4'' seam allowance. 

Now, we will have a piece looking like this one.

It is time to cut the Christmas Tree shape (triangle)

Due to the way that the triangles are cut, you will have two different trees combinations. Now, use steam a seam to attached a backing to your ornament. In my case, I used  DEN-L-4000. Later, with a seam ripper, I started fringing the edges for a more raw look.

And voila! Your first set of Christmas Trees is completed

Christmas Tree Cupcake Topper

We follow the same procedure from the last Christmas Tree. Only this time making 1 1/2'' by 20'' strips from the following fabrics:

HRT-85303
HRT-95304
HRT-85308
HRT-95300
HRT-85305   

Stitch them together with a 1/4'' seam allowance  and start cutting the Christmas Tree triangular shapes.

 Once they are cut, you will have two different triangles. For this Christmas Trees, get two triangles that fabric combination match, place them right side of the fabric facing each other and stitch around with 1/8'' seam allowance. Don't forget to leave the bottom part open, that way you can turn the tree around. Iron press the bottom part with a 1/8'' seam allowance and hand stitch close the bottom.

And you are done, these trees are so easy and quick to make and will be a perfect new addition to your Christmas dinner table.

  Lots of you had been asking me about this little tree that I made and posted on my Instagram account. I made this beauty with some of my Renaissance Ribbons of Etno Fabrics and just tied them up around the branch and cut them in order to acquire a pin tree shape. The reason why the ribbons are lay flat, it is because I iron press them and used a little bit of starch.

DIY Gift Ideas for the Holidays!

Hello everyone! 

I want to share with you some cute little DIY ideas for the holidays which are just around the corner. I know that braising the mall crowds could be a pain so I have some ideas for you to avoid that ☺and let's be honest, handmade gift are a little bit more special because they come straight from our hearts ♥♥

For the little angel of the family, this lovely Girl's Ruffle Blouse, or you can even make it as a dress by adding more canvas. Isn't gorgeous? The "Dulcet Paths Mist" adds a sweet touch to it.

But let's not forget the jet-setter of the family and create these very useful zipper pouches, perfect to easily storage make up and toiletries. 

I HAD to share this Scandi bag because when I share it on Instagram all of you loved it, and how could we not, this bag is so pretty and I think it's a perfect statement bag!

Plushies are so in this year, I've seen them everywhere with lots of popularity and to be honest, who would hate these beauties!

Again, thinking about the little ones, let's be frank, the Holidays are mostly for the kids ☺ This canvas Jacket it's so cute and stylish, the little angles will be perfect this winter.

Pinetree Placemats

Hello everyone!

I am so excited!! Christmas is just around the corner and that means lots of family time and of course lots of decorating. I want to share with all of you during our lovely count down for Christmas, some adorable and easy projects! Like the Pinetree Placemats with Heartland fabrics and the good thing is that you can use these placemats for after the holidays! How cool?Alright ladies and gents, the instructions are below so have fun creating this beauty!

Fabric Quantities
1/2 yard of HRT-85301Fabric A
Fat Eight of HRT-85303 Fabric B
Fat Eight of HRT-85308 Fabric C
1/4 yard of batting

Cutting Instructions
Cut 2 (two) 10'' by 16'' of Fabric A
Cut 1 (one) 10'' by 16'' of batting

Step 1
Place one of the 10'' by 16'' piece of Fabric A, then the 10'' by 16'' of batting, and lastly the last piece of Fabric B. If desire, with an erasable pen draw diagonal guide lines for quilting 1/2'' apart.

 
Step 2
We are going to create the tree fuzzy cut trees from Fabric B. Cut three pieces, as shown below and use steam a seam to glue it to Fabric A

Step 3
Now that we have the three fussy cut trees ready, we have to iron press on the top of the 10'' by 16'' piece of Fabric A. In this project two fussy cut pieces are place at the bottom right side of the piece, and one on the top left corner. Once this is complete, we are ready to top stitch the lovely trees.

 Add the binding using Fabric C and you are done!
